The Jewel of San Diego is a beach community with over 40,000 residents. The area is surrounded on three sides by beautiful beaches and ocean bluffs. The vast view from the top of Mt. Soledad, a government owned national monument located in the center of La Jolla, gives perspective on most of San Diego, and is home to the controversial Mount Soledad Easter Cross. Cascading down the side of Mt. Soledad are mansions owned by Hollywood celebrities, national sports stars, and international millionaires. This plethora of wealth floods into the dreamy coastline, where many tourists enjoy weather averaging 70°, five-star restaurants, and state of the art entertainment.
