Del Mar beaches is just one of the locations in California that gives you breathtaking views of the ocean. The area of Del Mar leaves plenty of things to do with friends and family and that is just one of the reasons people choose to move to Del Mar. There is so much to do that you will find that you are never bored. Here are just some examples of what you can expect to find should you decide to purchase or rent a piece of property along one of Del Mar’s beaches:
Great Play Area for Pets
If you own a dog and want to make sure that the furry companion is welcomed into the community then you will be pleased to know that there is a Del Mar dog beach. The race track is located by the San Diego River where it comes together with sea. The river mouth is the large wedge where there is plenty of open space for volleyball games as well as a space to toss the ball or Frisbee for the dog. The swimming in the area isn’t perfect but the sandbars are shallow and the area is well protected from the wind, which is great for families who are visiting with their small children.
Great Swimming
The northern portion of the Del Mar Beach is from 15th street on up to the River Mouth. This is considered to be one of the best locations for swimming. Here, you will find easy access to swimming as there is a spot to enter every block to get to the beach. There are two parks coastal here that you can choose to visit when searching for a place to picnic with the family but you should know that parking can be a hassle as there are limited parking spaces.
Great Exercise
When it comes to heading south on the Del Mar Beaches, south of 15th street, there are dirt paths that run parallel to the train tracks which is where people go to jog or walk if they want to avoid cars and busy streets.
Great Safety
If you want to make sure that you have access to rinse off after swimming, there are bathrooms with showers in them by the main lifeguard tower on the 17th street location. The lifeguard tower here is the main headquarters for lifeguards who are being dispatched to other locations up and down the area of the Del Mar Beaches.
There is plenty for you to see and do such as surfing, jogging, hiking, biking, volleyball or even Frisbee. If you want to simply sunbathe, try your hand at the beaches around the 17th street and south of the L’Auberge Resort. And most importantly, find a place near the beach, so you can enjoy it everyday!
