Spring is here and that means the Historical Society of La Jolla will be holding their famed “Secret Garden Tour” again. It’s a rare chance to stroll through some of La Jolla’s finest and most secluded gardens. You’ll get to tour among large estate gardens outfitted with intricate details, lovely flowers, and decorative furniture. Among the most unique areas, you’ll get to walk through cottage-style gardens, Mediterranean terraces, and French & English courtyards. But the best part about the La Jolla garden tour are the secret locations (only distributed and revealed the day of the tour).
The garden tour won’t be just about walking around and admiring the scenery. Each area will be enhanced with music performed by local musicians and tabletop displays from local designers. You’ll also get to admire artists capturing the garden with their artwork. With all these benefits, the La Jolla Historical Society aims to raise awareness about the unique characteristics that define the city. Preservation is only one branch of their goal, as they look to build a strong close-knit community.
There are 2 versions of the Secret Garden Tour, which include the Self-Guided Tour and the Platinum Tour (contains an elegant brunch and shuttle transportation to the gardens).
