La Jolla’s 2013 WOW Festival

La Jolla, San Diego is about to be overtaken by an amazing fun filled entertaining event for the ages. From October 3 to 6, 2013, the Without Walls (WOW) 2013 festival will be featuring some of the most amazing performances the state of California has ever witnessed. La Jolla Playhouse in partnership with UC San Diego, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD), and the New Children’s Museum has put together a mind-blowing event the entire family can enjoy.

Entertainment at WOW

The entertainment at the WOW Festival will be plentiful. Live performances featuring music, dance, and theater will be taking place simultaneously within the La Jolla Playhouse Theater and the surrounding Festival Village area. Visitors can pre-plan their time at the event each day in order to ensure they witness the specific performances they desire to see. The WOW performances and event as a whole is inspired by the European city-wide theater festivals. Over 20 theater and art performances at WOW will feature local, national and international artists- giving audiences a variety of cultural entertainment experiences. This will include performances by the students and faculty at UCSD Departments of Theatre & Dance and Music, and renowned performance artists James Luna, Kate Gilmore, and Jacolby Satterwhite.

Tickets and Prices

Tickets for this event range from free to $25. All performances happening in the Festival Village (surrounding the La Jolla Playhouse Theater) are free — except for the TNT (Thursday Night Thing) event, which kicks off the WOW festival. Tickets for the TNT event are $10. Tickets for performances within the La Jolla Playhouse Theater range from $5 to $25. There is no question that the Without Walls 2013 Festival will be the most talked about event of the year. Residents of La Jolla and surrounding San Diego areas should not miss this historic event.
