Local Guide: Solana Beach, CA & Real Estate

Solana Beach, California is a captivating seaside hamlet a few miles north of San Diego. About 12,750 people live in this exclusive paradise. The winter low temperature is 62 degrees and the summer high temperature is a comfortable 77 degrees. This exclusive little town boasts 5 beautiful public beaches which are remarkably quiet, peaceful and welcoming. Each beach is known for a certain specialty. One beach is especially good for surfing, another has exceptional tide pools.

The town is higher than sea level because it is on a cliff; as a result, the beaches are accessible primarily by stairs that are pretty steep. One exception is a beach called Fletcher Cove which has a ramp extending from the adjacent Fletcher Park. All of the beaches are pristine and have lifeguards on duty year-round. Many residents walk to the beach daily and observe the sun setting over the sparkling Pacific Ocean. Watching the sunset is a regular routine for many locals.
