School Overview:
The Gillispie School is an independent, co-ed day school, enrolling 300 students from ages 2 through
grade 6. The school’s early childhood and elementary programs are designed to guide its students’
academic, creative and social growth.

Education is a collaborative effort, including forward thinking teachers, administrators, families and
mentors, providing the “nurturing support that allows children to take risks, be creative, and think
independently.” Led by a passionate teacher base, students are encouraged to express their knowledge
and opinions, and therefore, children become lifelong learners and critical thinkers. They use “time,
financial resources and physical space to create an environment that develops confident, competent
children of character.”

Its campus is located downtown, and includes a fine arts center, science lab, library and gym.
